Many of our readers have been intrigued, asking for further information and specifications, about ELECTRIC MOTORS WITH TWO-COMPONENT EPOXY RESIN

  • CAR WASH SYSTEMS
  • CERAMIC INDUSTRY
  • MARBLE INDUSTRY

The ‘special’ executions, often requested of our technicians in order to perfectly adapt the product to their needs, can be

Release lever

  • AISI 416/420 steel shaft on request
  • UL/CSA insulation system
  • Winding encapsulation
  • Resin coating of the terminal compartment
  • Special mechanical executions
  • Motor with IP67 encapsulated winding, see photo:

The high degree of protection is guaranteed by a two-component epoxy resin, which is poured inside the terminal compartment, protecting the winding from possible seepage.

BUT NOT ONLY SEEPAGE!

One of our customers in the drying sector always asks us for motors with resin-coated connection boards. A further reason for this is the possibility of diodes falling into the cage as they become loose, thus creating serious problems.

BUT NOT JUST DIODES FALLING OUT!

Resin is also good for vibration stress, thus increasing component life and
reducing ageing.

WARNING!
service factor electric motors with two-component resin can be S1

ELECTRIC MOTORS WITH TWO-COMPONENT EPOXY RESIN are designed with specific operating services. Most of these motors have intermittent duty, precisely because they NEED a rest period (e.g. S3-50%), in order not to overheat too much and to comply with the
temperature limit of class F. It is still possible to have S1 service. Thus, the heat dissipation of these motors occurs through the type of service (if intermittent) and also in relation to the temperature of the environment in which they are used (obviously the lower the temperature, the more it helps the
heat dissipation).
