INTRODUCTION
Actuators are electromechanical devices for linear motion; They consist of an
electric motor which, directly or through the interposition of a gearbox, sets in motion
a threaded rod on which a lead screw slides. The lead screw, to be constrained to rotation,
realizes the linear displacement of the rod connected to it. The load, always and only in the axial direction
, can be applied in pull or push, regardless of the direction
of advancement of the rod. The actuators guarantee regular operation at no-load and load; in
depending on the speed they achieve and the loading mode, they can have a reversible or irreversible behavior
. In any case, it is possible to make the system self-locking.
Depending on the type of construction and the drive and control system, they can
function as simple ON/OFF devices in pull and push, or as servomechanisms.
Compared to pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, actuators allow stops even in intermediate positions
of the stroke without special precautions, they also use electricity: a source of
clean energy, easily transportable, simplifying the lay-out of the machine board; there are
no spills of fluids (oil) which in some sectors (e.g. food, textiles) are a fundamental prerequisite
.
ACTUATOR COMPONENTS
How is the electric linear actuator made?
The linear actuator mounts an electric motor rigidly connected to a
worm gearbox and helical toothed wheel, or to a planetary gearbox with one or two stages or again,
without gearbox, connected directly to a threaded rod on which the lead screw that gives
movement to the translating rod slides. The whole therefore forms a rigid kinematic chain.

APPLICATIONS
Where can I use linear actuators?
Applications
ALI1 used to control the placement of devices in washing and disinfection processes inside medical machines. Resin treatment for applications where water and high temperatures are involved.
ALI4DC linear actuator for application in an amusement park.
Matching wheel for dual-use linear actuators: both manual and electric. This is the case with automatic machines in the packaging sector.
ALI4 for photovoltaic system
EC2-F for ship lifting. The front and thrust axle are made of stainless steel; The bellows boot is used to protect against extremely corrosive agents such as water and salt.
